Mindfulness The Healing Power of Nature

Spending time in nature is very healing.

Whenever you are caught in a tumult of emotion or you feel very stuck in your head,

find some time to be outside at the beach or a lake or in the bush.

Be present with nature with all of your senses.

Listen to the wind, the birds or the sound of the waves.

Really see the sunlight on the leaves or the dew on a spider web or a crab hole in the sand.

Take your shoes off and feel the earth beneath your feet.

Smell the damp earth or the salt air.

Immerse yourself.

After awhile see if you can notice the stillness beneath it all.

Just stay present there, it will help you.
